TJs Woodshop

This eagle was made for a young  man in California who just became a Eagle Scout. It was commissioned by his very proud grandparents. The head, tail and tail feathers are made from Aspen. The body, wings and eye are Walnut. The beak and claws are Western Red Cedar. 

Intarsia

Is a kind of woodwork where you use different species of wood to get the different  grains and colors to make a 3-D picture. No stains or paints are used, this is the woods natural colors.

You carefully cut and hand shape each piece. Then you use a clear finish  to protect and show  the woods colors and beauty.  

Once you put it all together you have what you see here.
